The Guy Behind the Scenes

The worship experience is between you and God. Period! It is yet another magnificent piece of the puzzle for which we can communicate our love back to the great God who loves us, and demonstrates this love to us daily.

The worship services at Grace Church are done not just by the musicians and singers, but by the servants “behind the scenes” doing a variety of technical and artistic tasks. One of these “arts” is the sound mixing process. Marlon Gates is a devoted member of the worship team performing his artistry in the area of mixing at the soundboard. His goal is not only to serve and worship God by volunteering for this need, but also to provide a seamless sound experience for the congregation in which they can enter into an uninterrupted encounter with God during worship.

The Gates family is a long-time family here, serving and ministering in a variety of ways throughout the years. Their children have come to know Christ at Grace Church and they are now blessed to have Grace grandkids growing up here as well.
