Battleground of Life

Life and its circumstances can change a man. It can change your outlook, likes, dislikes, dreams and desires. A life of combat— and circumstances, which the average person could not even imagine— certainly can break the strongest of men. Not Ken Voorhis. While Ken did go through a period in his life where he questioned whether or not he could even step foot into a church, he has come to a full and rich understanding of the grace, mercy and love our Father freely provides to us. Ken knows what it is like to be in discomfort… scared… alone… wondering if there will be a next breath to take. From the pain of the battlefield to a painful divorce, and on to struggling with the demons that prompt a man to just end it all, Ken has been there. But, Ken responded to God’s calling and came here to Grace Church. He has learned that God loves him as he is and God has been there all of the time helping him get through these trials and moving on to a life worth living.
