Frequently Asked Questions
Why do we need to build? Why can’t we just stay like we are?
Grace Church currently offers a total of six services per weekend. Each service approaches full occupancy, and there is just no room for growth. Why do we need to grow? Because God’s command is for us reach the world for Christ and one effective way for us to do that in our area is to get those people to come to us. Then we can share the Truth of God’s story by sharing the Word of God, and by sharing His love with them, and with each other. To bring them to us, we must have room for them.
Why can’t we just enlarge our current worship center?
Our current worship center has been stretched as far as is financially feasible. The Elders have considered all options, from adding a balcony to building into the administration area, and all those options just don’t make sense, financially or functionally. The most critical element in our growth is the need for a substantial increase in seating capacity. The best way to meet that need is with a new worship center.
How do you know your plan is the right building for Grace?
Grace Church has been diligently working with TPC Architects, a firm that specializes in ministry master planning. They have helped us analyze our current situation, forecast our growth needs, and plan a facility that will meet those needs.
What about parking?
The parking lot portion of our expansion is completed, with the exception of the upper North parking lot. That area is needed for staging for the construction process and will be completed, most likely, after the building is built.
How can I get involved?
- Re-surrender your life to Christ. Acknowledge that everything you own comes from Him. (Psalm 24:1) Recognize that the NOW project is Kingdom work, Eternity work, God work.
- Carry the calling of the NOW project to those around you and encourage them to get involved.
- If you have made your pledge, make it a priority to fulfill your pledge. (Matthew 5:37)
- If you have not yet made a pledge to the NOW Project, it’s not too late! Please make your pledge now as God leads. It will take all of us doing our part.
- Pray daily for the project. Pray for the leaders of Grace Church, and all those involved in bringing this mighty plan to reality. (That includes YOU!)
- Pray daily for the people we have yet to meet who will walk through our doors. Pray that they will find Truth, hope and healing through our Gracious God and His precious son, Jesus Christ.
