The leadership at Grace Church has spent several months in partnership with TPC Architects to study Grace’s ministry history, needs and future.  Out of those months of planning came this design.  The primary objective in designing the ministry master plan was to maximize ministry opportunity on Grace’s property for Kingdom purposes.  In other words, the goal was to build a facility that would make room for as many people as the property would allow…to make room for them to come, sit, listen, learn and engage with God.

This site plan shows the ultimate goal of the NOW project: This design includes the following.

• 35,761 SF worship center with an 1150 seat multipurpose auditorium
• 7,500 SF Multi-use education building
• Adaptive use of our existing facility to effectively serve the children, youth and other vital ministries of Grace

The heartbeat of Grace’s ministry happens in the Worship Center.  With that in mind, much thought, study and prayer went into the design of this building.  The core concept that drove each decision was community.  How can we design a building that promotes, even encourages community?  After much prayer, here is the result.  A place to come meet others, and a place to come meet God.

The worship center auditorium was designed to meet numerous very unique, but very important needs.  The front part of the room is flat floor, so as to accommodate the needs of the ever growing Living Stones, as well as those of regular weekend services.   The mezzanine seating is designed to offer more seats, but give good sight lines so those in the “back of the house” don’t miss a beat.  Nonparallel walls were designed to meet acoustical, esthetic, and economy goals.  A large stage was planned to offer many options for creative ways to present God’s Truth.

Notice the baptistery; front and center, a permanent structure right in the middle of everything. That is what Grace Church is all about...changed lives.
